Hot Plates
I bought my electric hot plate because it is solid, portable and the source is plain electric. I find it very easy to cook my dishes and favorite recipes at home and enjoy it even I’m alone.
Upon searching about the product I have found two types, there hot plates with 2 burners and the other is only single burner. All these types are great because it has an adjustable heat setting that ranges from low to high and most especially the thermostat can be easily controlled.
Electric hot plate is safe to use because it was made indeed durable and versatile. It was easy to heat water for my tea, coffee, hot chocolate, spaghetti, canned foods, soups and others that I need.
Here is one of my favorite dishes: (Fish fillet steak)o From my fridge, I took my uncooked fish fillet steak and let it cool down for 20 minutes at room temperature. Cooling down the steak is very important to make sure good tenderness.
o Using the kitchen roll, I pat the steak to take off excess moisture.
o I turned on my electric hot plate and allowed to warm up for 10 minutes. It should absorb the heat before cooking the dish. (I don’t care at all allowing it to get hot and leaving behind because electric hot plate can manage holding the temperature).
o With the vegetable oil prepared I rubbed it to my fish fillet steak and let it stay for few minutes. (Olive oil is not good enough because it might burn the fish fillet steak).
o After allowing the plate to have the heat, I placed the frying pan over and placed my steak inside the fan gently. I wanted my steak medium rare so I just heated two sides of the steak for only 3 minutes. (A well done steak may take 8 to 10 minutes of heat – well that basically depends on what type you want to cook your steak).
o I pressed the steak using my fingers to check the tenderness. (A steak soft as the index finger would mean medium rare while a steak as soft as the little finger or pinky would mean a steak that is well done).
o I then took my cooked fish fillet steak from the pan and let it cool down again from 10 to 15 minutes.
o While waiting for the steak to cool down I prepared a delicious sauce by combining butter and red wine.
o After settling down the heat, I added the sauce over my steak and added some vegetable.
o Now ready to eat
I had so much fun cooking my favorite fish fillet steak using my electric hot plate, and with this equipment I can enjoy cooking with my other favorite dishes at home.
Helpful tip, I cooked outside my house so I did not worry about the smoke however if you intend to cook inside the house be aware the cooking with electric hot plate can make your place totally smoky and you may want to open some windows so the smoke will not circulate inside the house.
